Memorial to Stephen Hales in the west transept (Poet’s Corner) of Westminster Abbey by Joseph Wilton. The figure of Hales is represented in profile on a medallion held on the right by Religion and the left by Botany. A globe in the lower right displays winged wind heads shown blowing air at Botany referring to his contributions to ventilation.
