Abstract
Chronic kidney disease-associated pruritus (CKD-aP) has a high incidence in patients with end-stage chronic kidney disease on dialysis and significantly affects the quality of life of hemodialysis patients. The pathogenesis is multifactorial and still under investigation. Due to its clinical impact and its association with increased mortality, it cannot be considered merely a symptom. New drugs and treatments have been developed. We report our experience with a patient whom we had the opportunity to treat with hemoperfusion using an HA130 cartridge.
